Removing Scratches
Using the following factory-proven method, a good craftsman can repair a scratched or marked top to very acceptable condition. Materials Required£ºSilicone carbide sandpaper(grits 80, 120, 220) 3M Scotch Brite unwoven fabric Mineral oil or light machine oil

Removing Delicate Scratches£ºApply oil to the area to be sanded, and with 3M Scotch Brite unwoven fabric, work in the same direction as the scratch using a moderate to light touch until scratch disappears. The lighter the touch, the less material is removed, and the better the repair will look.

Removing Serious Scratches:Polish the top with sandpaper grit 80, 120, 220 sequentially with plenty of oil until scratch disappears. The lighter the touch, the less material is removed, and the better the repair will look. An orbital grinder may also be used. Buff the sanded area with oil and 3M Scotch Brite unwoven fabric until you are satisfied with the results. Buff further with clean rags and the repair is complete.
